Fridays at the Fort - 2021
Fridays at the Fort is a series of family-friendly events held on the lawn of the museum (717 S Beaumont Road, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin) or at the St. Germain dit Gauthier House (419 N 5th St, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin). Most Friday afternoons (1:30 - 3:30 p.m.) between June 25 - August 6, 2021, the Prairie du Chien Historical Society will feature an entertaining and educational program. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to enjoy this outdoor program. These programs are offered at no charge - donations accepted.
June 25 - Shearing Sheep and Spinning Wool - Fort Crawford Museum
July 2 - No program - Independence Day Holiday
July 9 - Stone, Bone, and Sticks - Learn how the Mound Builders created tools
and learn to throw an atlatl - Fort Crawford Museum
July 16 - Geocaching Fun - Learn the basics of the modern hobby of geocaching - **St. Germain dit Gauthier House
July 23 - Milking a Goat and Making Butter - Fort Crawford Museum
July 30 - Canoe with a Voyageur - Learn about the French Fur Trade and help paddle a Montreal Canoe on the Marais de St. Friole - **St. Germain dit Gauthier House
August 6 - Paint a Pony and Ride in a Carriage - **St. Germain dit Gauthier House
